Most water heaters are not lined on the inside of the tank. This water-against-metal design causes the tank to rust and corrode from the constant water contact. By lining the tank with fiberglass, the lifespan of the tank is significantly increased.
Hydrojet Self-Cleaning
Another common problem with typical water heaters is sediment build-up on the floor of the tank. All water has some amount of minerals in it. Without proper maintenance, these minerals collect in thick sediment at the base of the water heater. However, with Bradford White's hydrojet self-cleaning, the minerals do not have an opportunity to settle. This also increases the lifespan of the tank.
