Do you ever walk into a furniture gallery and have no idea where to begin? We've been there, too. Dave Tolbert knows furniture like the back of his hand (though that's really a strange analogy - who really knows the back of their hand that well?) and was kind us to guide us through what to look for, from bedroom furniture to dining room tables and family room sets.

For the last two weeks, we've talked about energy-reduction resolutions any homeowner can make. This week, Lucy Beal joins us to give us a few pointers on how to "de-chunk" and manage those, and any other resolutions we have. We took a dive into Kassie's mind and used her as our guinea pig. If you've struggled to keep resolutions in the past (and let's be honest- who hasn't?), don't miss this unique insight into what might be holding you back.
Remember - home improvement is about more than just the home! It's about the people who live in it as well! =)

December 26, 2009 - 12 for '10: An Energy Reduction Resolution for Every Month of 2010, Part 1
-----------------------------
Believe it or not, PG&E doesn't have to break your bank and we truly believe that the answer is not necessarily a huge solar system for your home. In reality, the answer to a manageable power bill is a combination of factors. With the start of a new year, we decided to give our friends and fellow homeowners a place to start. With one resolution for each month of 2010, you've got the tools to take control. If, at the end of the year, you've still got an outrageous bill, it's probably time to start thinking about solar
January - Learn about your power bill and get your hands on a Kill-A-Watt EZ
February - Seal leaking windows and doors
March - Trim here and there with occupancy sensors and CFL lightbulbs
April - Tune up your A/C before summer
May - Study your exposures
June - Pay attention to your pool
