Californians are no strangers to innovative technology. With Fresno temperatures easily reaching the high 100s, we’re also no strangers to air conditioning. That being said, we’d like to highlight some of the coolest (see what we did there?) smart thermostats available to home and property owners.
Honeywell Smart Thermostats
Honeywell features different types of smart thermostats, including the Lyric Thermostat (pictured above – courtesy of Honeywell), that come with a reliable and highly-rated app that allows you to program your thermostat from your iPhone, Android, tablet, iPad or computer. Honeywell smart thermostats feature a customizable color touchscreen, making it easy to match your interior decor.
Honeywell makes it easy to save money on your energy bills with:
- Auto Alerts – Change filter alerts and extreme temperature warnings will display on your thermostat and be sent to your connected devices.
- Advanced Fan/Comfort Control – Automatically regulates air temperature and improves air circulation.
- Smart Response – The Honeywell Smart Thermostat learns your schedule and heats or cools your home before you can even touch the thermostat.
Lee’s Air also features the ecobee Smart Thermostat to homeowners in Fresno. The ecobee is good for both residential and commercial AC systems. It’s software updates automatically, and ecobee’s API is open, which allows developers to come up with cutting-edge apps for mobile.
Sensi Smart Thermostat
The Sensi thermostat from Emerson is another of our favorite smart thermostats. It’s compatible with most heating and air conditioning systems, and it also features a very useful mobile app to help cut down on energy costs. With the Sensi, you could save up to 30% each year on your heating and AC costs.
Want to take full advantage of your smart thermostats? Make sure a professional installs them. There’s nothing like subpar wiring to short circuit your new thermostat and possibly your entire HVAC system. The next time you have your air conditioner serviced or have a new one installed, ask your HVAC contractor about installing a smart thermostat to help you save energy!
